To help you plan for your visit and evaluate the risk associated with visiting our office, here’s what you need to know:
Masks. Our staff are wearing masks, and we’re asking all patients to bring and wear one when they enter the building. If you can’t wear a mask for medical reasons, we need to reschedule your appointment for a time when it’s safe for you to be in our office.
Stay home. Anyone who is sick or has potentially been exposed is asked to stay home, including our staff.
Open by appointment only. To facilitate social distancing and contact tracing in our office, all exams, frame selections, pick-ups, and adjustments must be scheduled in advance.
Optical cleaning. When you choose frames in our optical, the optician will remove them from the board. We disinfect all frames before putting them back on the boards.
Clinic cleaning. Exam rooms and testing equipment are cleaned thoroughly between patients, and all high-touch surfaces in the office are routinely disinfected.
Hand hygiene. As medical professionals, we wash our hands frequently and have hand sanitizer available for both staff and patients. You should always wash your hands before touching your eyes — just remember not to touch your eyes after using alcohol-based sanitizer!
Contact lens delivery. Contact lens home delivery is free, so you don’t have to come back into the office to pick up your contacts. Glasses may take an extra day or two as our shipping schedule has been reduced.
We appreciate your understanding as we try to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any additional questions or concerns, call us any time at (304) 768-3332.
