Order Contact Lens

We dispense contact lenses to our patients for whom our doctors have fit and prescribed lenses; we do not fill outside prescriptions. Contact lens prescriptions are valid for one year only, and we cannot fill expired prescriptions.

Prescriptions

Contact lenses are an FDA-recognized medical device used to correct vision for therapeutic or cosmetic reasons and require proper care and maintenance to prevent injury and/or blindness. As with prescription medications, contact lenses can only be dispensed pursuant to a prescription of an eye care practitioner. This prescription will have parameters specific to the contact lenses that are fit and is different from a spectacle prescription. No substitutions can be made on the prescription.

Risks

Different types of lenses and wear schedules have varied risk. Although the risks associated with contact lens wear are small, they are still real and we strive to fit everyone in the healthiest modality possible. Periodic examinations are a necessary part of maintaining an appropriate and safe contact lens fit. You should return for all scheduled periodic examinations as recommended by your doctor. Call our office for assistance if you experience:

  • Eye pain

  • Sensitivity to light

  • Redness of your eyes

  • Excessive tearing or discharge

  • Cloudy, foggy, or reduced vision
